ARCHERY THERAPY 

Archery brings a sense of calm. It teaches patience, and provides a focus that a military veteran might otherwise lack. That focus helps with PTSD recovery and readjustment. Making the transition from the battlefield to everyday life smoother.

Archery is also very centering. It sharpens the mind and strengthens the body. Zeroing in on a small object like a target focuses your attention and helps block out distractions.

Veterans also benefit from the confidence that comes from mastering the skill. A constant desire to succeed is developed.

Additionally, practicing archery as a group allows veterans to surround themselves with other veterans. Helping them deal with PTSD through camaraderie.
